Maya Adeyemi-Sharma_

I am Maya Adeyemi-Sharma_, a depth-oriented psychological practitioner working from London through the Arcosmia Gateway.

My work lives in the space between what is said and what is felt, between the story you tell and the story that tells you. I trained in the psychodynamic tradition, but my home is in depth psychology; in Jungian and post-Jungian thought, archetypal psychology, and the symbolic language of dreams. I do not carry a medical title, and I do not treat symptoms as problems to be solved. I treat them as messages to be decoded.

I work slowly. I work with attention to the unconscious, to the images that surface in dreams, to the moments when your voice changes or you smile at something that is not funny. I believe that most suffering is not a malfunction but a communication from a psyche trying to become whole. My role is not to rescue you from that process, but to create the conditions where it can unfold safely.

What moves me is the moment when someone recognizes a pattern they have lived without knowing they were living it; when the sealed door in a dream begins to open; when the question "who am I, really?" stops being an accusation and becomes an invitation. I am moved by the courage it takes to look beneath the surface, especially when the surface has kept you safe for a very long time.

If you come to me, you will find a presence that is warm but not sentimental, boundaried but not distant. I am not your friend, though I am genuinely with you. I will ask questions you hoped I wouldn't. I will sit with silence rather than fill it. I will take your dreams seriously as primary clinical material, not as metaphor or illustration. I will validate your pain before I challenge your defenses, but I will challenge them.

This work is not for everyone. It requires time, and a tolerance for not knowing. But if you are in a crisis of meaning, if you feel you are living someone else's life, if you keep having the same dream or the same argument or the same ending; if you sense there is something in you that has not yet been allowed to exist, we might have something to work with.
